Out now on iTunes, this blockbusting debut single by a bunch of second generation punks from Bedfordshire is already attracting attention from local radio DJs. In a Bieber-flavoured, X-Factor driven world it’s a relief to discover that not all teenage bands want to be sick-making, mascara-wearing, over-groomed fops.
Down Falls Society is raw, foul-mouthed, deeply ironic and shows refreshing maturity for such a young outfit. “Be on the train not left at the station /We are the children of a drowning nation.” Take that society. It makes the Sex Pistols look like Chris De Burgh. If there’s such a thing as the Dunstable Sound, this is probably it, and it might well be set to conquer the world. 5/5
